Just wondering,

i have seen professional car detailers remove the badges off cars to allow them to clean under them and give a decent clean on that surface,

has anyone removed the badges off their bike?

either cause they didn't want them or cause they wanted to get under them.

is it just the same as removing safety stickers? just strong glue under them?

What is the reason for taking off the badge?

If you want to clean in there maybe try using something to clean inside, cotton bud?

Could be a risk taking off the badge, may peel off the paint

tried a cotton bud but doesn't get all the grotty bits out.

I removed the lettering from my petrol tank, no plans to put it back on though.

It was held on with very tough sticky foam (like those double sided sticky pads). Made a right mess coming off, but looks a lot better once cleaned up.

Wouldn't fancy trying to remove it with a view to refitting, since I snapped the badge while taking it off and destroyed the foam in the process.

Is possible to get em off and back on, but is a bitch on bikes, as if your on about the sticker ones there usually laquered over.

Or if its the real badges like you have on cars if you take them off you can see where the paints a different colour due to the sun on the non covered areas,

To get the car badges off a filler spreader stuck behind and worked through works the best we found.

To clean the gunk that comes off from proper badges you need a toffee wheel on a drill.

with the front shamefully turned away to hide the L plates! Be proud to wear the L's my man, for one day people will judge you for your riding.
