It looks like a Tiumph Thruxton with the wheels & forks from Street Triple:

https://www.triumph.co.uk/uk/11943.aspx

https://www.triumph.co.uk/images/Arrow_freeze.jpg

But I can't find a damn thing about it anywhere, apart from the pictures. Why it's on the Arrow Exhaust part of Triumph's website I've no idea.

I'm interested because it looks as good as the new Norton Commando 961 but might (?) actually be available to buy.

Looks like a seriously modified Thruxton.

Isn't it that utterly filthy Thruxton they had at the NEC in '07? Or a variant of it. Diddy little picture but it's defintely got the right shocks and front end.

What was so filthy about it?

There's some closeups at that link I posted.

You walked past and went 'fwoaaaar'. Cool

It just looked really cool, aftermarket suspension, big chunky front end (possible Speed Triple forks, pretty hefty ones anyway) and massive Brembo callipers. No idea if they'd actually done anything to the engine as it was just something to put on a stand at a show, but it looked like it should be monumentally fast and wanted to kick seven shades of shit outta you.

It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine. Praying

It needs some straight through chrome-over-scaffold-tube exhausts on it and it will be complete.

I don't believe Triumph are gonna do it themselves, but a certain aquaintance of mine might be. And it's gonna have the knackers tuned off it. I assure you I'll post more when I'm at liberty to do so. Shhh!

Was the thing at the NEC an official Triumph creation & your acquaintance going to copy it (if so, good idea)? Or was it your acquaintance that was showing at the NEC?

Right, my elite Google-fu skills have tracked down the following pictures. The bike is labelled alternatively as "Thruxton Special," "Thruxton 900" and "Maxed-out Thruxton".

The super-duper hi-res versions of these pics are available if you register on the site (look at the NEC 2007 sections).

Why would they be? They look like they're off a Speed or Street Triple ... the wheels on that shouldn't cost any more than standard Thruxton wheels.

The NEC one was Triumph's, I believe.

This'll be an 'inspired by'.

I love Triumph Thruxton bikes...

Bloke next door to me has a nicer one than that... And plus the fact that when he moved in, I couldn't resist to point out that he owned a Triumph Thruxton and lived in the village of Thruxton Smile So cool! I'll see if I can get a few pics... He doesn't even like to ride it on the road, its purely a "Show Bike" that Triumph use. I think he's worked for them for something like 30 years. Smile

On another point, anybody want some discounted tickets for Thruxton Circuit? I've got loads :\ I work for the circuit as well as the BARC and MSA, so I get them major cheap. If you do, send me a PM Smile

Not there not they dont even remotely look like there off a triumph,

They look like Marcenassi (Sp.) or something equally exotic.
