cg125 power problem

hi i brought my first bike a cg125 4 stroke on a f plate and i have a prob with it when im riding it if i give it too much throttle in any gear other than first it judders like mad if i back it of a bit it will go through the gears ok just really slow when its off choke on half choke it has double the power and only judders a little bit can anyone help me with this i have a manual for it but it doesnt tell me much about this prob ive put new points plug oil brakes battery and new chain i think its a carb prob ?????

Does it tick over nicely?

If it does, strip the carb, my money is on your main jet is partially blocked ...

ticks over nice starts normally second kick with no choke even on coldest days timing good runs ok when gentle with it

sorry just to add it wont start on full choke it and if i put the choke on full while riding it dies as soon as i shut off throttle

Get the carb apart and clean it ... your problem will be in there Wink

well had the carb off cleaned jets rebalanced it put it bk on now bike got 2x the power and goes like s**t off a shovel for cg125 anyway so im now a happy l plate warrior lolty 4 ya advice blue
ts all good been riding it last couple ov days now im not getting blasted of the lights or up hill by the pizza boys so im happy again

well the previous owner told me it had sat for 8 yrs and he cleaned the carb before starting it and i think he set the throttle needle to low so raised it and did the mix now goes like stink so must have helped didnt think it needed doing since he seemd like he knew his stuff so didnt think it was a carb issue but it must av been ty blue needed the kick up the bum to look at it so its all good and i dusted the local pizza boy today so its now 1-1 on that front but think he knows its a real bike again cos i got the front wheel up off the lights lol and still done him
