From mcn:

Ducati bosses have admitted they are now one step closer to making a road going version of the V4 Desmosedici raced in MotoGP.

The immense power developed by four cylinder Japanese bikes, ever tightening emissions restrictions around the world and the cost of producing a high powered twin are also good incentives for Ducati to head down the V4 route for future road bikes.

Hi

Well, I suspect it might be closer than they admit. I have heard talk that Bimota are intending to buy a Ducati V4 engine for a model to be released in the non too distant future

Mind you Ducati have developed several V4 engines for road use in the past

All the best

Keith
