My top five...
Heartbeat.
Last of the summer wine
Antiques roadshow
Songs of praise
Lost

I do not watch any of them BTW so they may all have improved vastly since I last saw them but I doubt it.

Lost (get lost more like)
Dog the bounty hunter (twat)
Myth busters (I am so sick of himself watching that show its crap)
Most haunted
Last of the summer wine
Keeping up appearances
Animals do the funniest things (only because they use them stupid sound effects and cheesy American lines when something is about to happen Rolling Eyes , even you've been framed is at that now)
Anything with "celebrity" in the title is pretty much avoidable.
Two and a half men
When sports go bad (yeah lets show you that crash for the 17th time in slow motion so you dont miss it! )
My super sweet 16 (kick in the teeth would do them)

and everything else the repeat all day long on sky day after day!

Heartbeat is sometimes acceptable in terms of sunday evening TV, otherwise you've got You've been framed Shocked , Stuff that they don't show any more like "Where the heart is" and crap like that.

I tend to watch stuff like Long Way Down and By Any Means. It isn't good TV exactly, but its a billion times better than nearly everything else on telly. Normally american shyte makes me heave, but I do like some CSI's and House. Scrubs is also quite amusing but similar stuff like Gray's Anatomy leaves me cold.

Top Gear is the only thing that I'm really upset if I miss to be honest.

Not all of it, just most of the mainstream toss.

Just this month so far Carrier on National Geographic has been really good. Planes That Never Flew was great (if you like planes) and some of the Style on Trial stuff on BBC4 was surprisingly interesting. Heard good things about Generation Kill so will Sky+ that tonight and see if it's any cop.

Sure, the dross/quality ration is all to hell, but there's still some good stuff out there. Shame they repeat it so much that some of it rather loses its impact.

Nooooooooo

I love it when they get a car, but it wasn't the car they wanted and they throw a right strop

Its shite tv but I still watch it Embarassed I like to get annoyed and want to kick their heads in for being ungratful its like a form of punishment to myself. I do not know why. I also like saying things like "if you where mine I would batter you" or " a kick up the ass is what you need you brat" things like that.

May I now add "Dave" to my list since they bunged that "Dave+1 please retune your set" into the corner of their programs.

Ariel, I can guess why "Songs of Praise" pisses you off but here is a tip, (from a God fearing man) the game is; on the pan to face shots you have to go to bed with one in every five. Think about it, it makes the whole thing pretty entertaining, for a few minutes.

So I get to chose between nobbing Harry Secomb or Thora Hird. Sad

Wotcha.

I dread to think what your personal ad would read like

"Fifty something necrophiliac, into old bikes and hot peppers"

Come to think of it . . . .

Fifty something - check
Old bikes - check
Hot peppers - check

I'm more into the Queen Mother, rather than our Thora though Laughing

All time shitness?

My Family (truly awful BBC sit-com featuring 'quirky' middle-Englanders)

All about me (truly awful BBC PC, socially aware (!) sit-com starring Jasper Carrott, also includes his Indian wife and her spakka son from a previous marriage. Fucking horrible.)

Teenage Kicks (A god-awful pile of shite starring Ade Edmundson, started life as a truly awful BBC radio sit-com)

Goodnight Sweetheart ( Nicholas Lyndhurst in time-travelling farce, awful, unfunny, badly written, badly acted shite)

The Thin Blue Line (A gurning Basil Fawlty type, a northern, punjabi WPC and an overtly homosexual sergeant. Shite)

I'm not far of totally agreeing with this one, but I do enjoy series like Spooks and Hustle and I like factual stuff but have Freeview only so miss out on NG Crying or Very sad

My TV watching tends to be a product of my childhood when we had to chose what we wanted to watch, then the TV would be put on for that program and then turned off. We weren't allowed to watch TV regardless and I tend to do the same thing now, hence not having heard of many of the TV programs mentioned Embarassed

Is it just me or do other people find things like Jeremy Kyle and various Soap Operas quite 'nasty'? All people seems to do is yell at each other and be really unpleasant - I don't want to watch that on telly Shocked
