Yes but you already HAVE your licence, Col so bollockscratching is allowed (except when sitting opposite me at the traffic lights)
I've been telling Anita, you can drive with your hands in any position you like, cross 'em over the wheel, hang your elbow out the window like a hoon, and play your radio loud ... but ONLY once you've passed your test Till then, do everything absolutely by the book, then you're geared up for what the tester wants to see. They KNOW you're gonna revert to sloppy habits once you've passed. They hope you don't but they know you will. They appreciate that you make the effort to actually look as though you give a shit during the test.
Good call on the "non-talkative" passenger though, Col. Sometimes Anita thinks I'm sitting there in fear ... but actually learner drivers just need to have someone there to guide them, not to keep them company ... or buy them Macdonalds at the drive in.
rezzin: pay absolute attention to what's happening on roundabouts - its the best advice I can give. Observations are important the whole time, but during entry (and exit) of roundabouts, they're really important. I'm noticing that's where Anita's biggest mistakes are. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Congrats on the pass, but 2 questions.....how many minors and did you run over any grannies? Everyone knows if you run over 2 grannies, that results in an instant pass ____________________ It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, then it's bloody hilarious!!! |
