APRILIA RS50 PROBLEM

rytt.i have a 99 aprilia rs50.
basically it was runnin fine until the winter came and the battery came under pressure then a booster was used every now and again,until the battery eventualy died.and it started to cut out every 1-2 mile or so.then found that it wasnt sparking so bought part of a salvage rs50.so i swapped the coil and rectifier etc.and it still doesnt spark( it runs /ran fine,just started cuttin out.) we think using the booster may have damaged something.any ideas before i chuck more money at it? and it goes to a mechanic.

First of all, it took three attempts to read what you posted. Please do me a favour and try to write properly. It makes our job a whole lot easier.

What do you mean is doesnt spark? you said later in the post it runs but cuts out...?

And I really doubt the charger caused any problems.

Could be a huge number of things, Coil might be damaged/dead or CDI? Or possibly... you just need a new plug? Its really hard to tell and it really could be a vast number of problems causeing it to cut out or not start.

Needs a New Stator plate i recon

hence the loss of power to the battery
no spark
and possibly rubbish lights?
