Exhaust could do with being a bit smaller but I like it.

Is it just a trick of the eye that makes it look kind of short-arsed (not heightways, more lengthways)?

'salright.
I've not been grabbed by the throat in terms of the SV650's look, but this one at least does make you have a second look.

I'm kind of surprised that Kawasaki didn't redo the front end to achieve just that. A decent looking captain beaky nose would likely wow over the Charlie and Ewan wannabes in tandem with it's decent price tag.

As for the Gladius, meh, the alloy frame section and exhaust make it look a bit plump and saggy if you ask me Smile

apparently it's going to be a slightly 'de-tuned' version of the sv's engine aimed at novice riders Laughing

would have thought the sv was novice friendly enough Wink

While I am the first to tout the Versys this little gem was bought to out of some mag I read which (if I understood it) said that the sort of cross bred, upright, bit of everythng which the Versys did first will be followed by every manufacturer. Not that I believe the V did it first it just made it cheap enough and different enough, while still being a good bike.

But it's nothing like a Versys. It's more like the ER6 if anything.

Where did you hear that?

I read (on MCN to be fair) that it had more power and more torque than the outgoing SV.

202kg DRY WEIGHT though!!!!!

Thumbs Down
