Hiya

i have a 1993 honda CD 250, which features the stunning old fashioned spoked wheels, very attractive not just to the eye but also to rust.

Is it possible to upgrade to a newer similiar bikes alloy wheels, such as from a CB 250?

i am not sure of the size of the centre bore, or wheel size either Embarassed

for example, this: https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Honda-CB250-FM-jade-MC23-front-wheel_W0QQitemZ250366477042QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item250366477042&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

and

if anyone has any ideas let me know please!

Thanks very much Smile

CB250 Nighthawk wheels fit but the tyre choice is dire and expensive.

CM 125 / 200 wheels should be the same, better still to stop the rust.....................try cleaning the wheels! Mr. Green

Just another suggestion. You could buy some silver paint and paint them. They won't be shiny but they'll look better.

Hmm i think the best suggestion i may go for is just respraying them when the weather gets a bit better.

i do clean them!! every weekend i can, but my 40 mile a day trip to uni takes its toll lol. wire wool, wire brush and autosol can only do so much Sad

and i actually forgot i just got new tyres 2 weeks ago so probably buying new wheels again now is not the best idea lol

ill go for a nice spray up in a month or two Smile whats the best spray to use? im guessing metal spray, hammerite? could keep it original silver.. or maybe black Razz

Because to spray it you would have to take the wheel off the bike, mask everything up and spray.

With a brush, you can leave the wheel on the bike, you don't have to mask anything up and you can then just paint the spokes.

Will take much less time and won't look that much different.
