hello i have a Piaggio zip

i would like to put a fuel gauge on my bike the round ones with the needle so i can check how much fuel is in the tank without waiting for the little light in the clocks to come on.

i dont which gauge to get all i know is that it has to be a universal one however i dont know the ohm's the fuel sender gives out when it is full/empty

or can you suggest something else?

so can anyone help me???

Your going to struggle as petrol gauges rely on a float (similar to a toilet ballcock) inside the tank that a sender relays its position to the gauge.

To put one of those in a tank and jerry rig it to work is going to be a royal PITA.

Reset trip meter each time you fill the tank up. Always fill to top and you will know how many miles you can do before you run out.

Bike/scooter tanks are too small and odd shapes for a fuel gauge to work with any accuracy. Every time you go round a corner the level in the tank changes....
