hi everyone
i'm having some problems with my computer/internet
basically all it is is i can't access some sites.
i can browse ebay all day long but as soon as i click my ebay or sign in i get page not found.
also the same with hotmail. i can browse the msg homepages etc. but as soon as i click login, page not found.

i've tried using my laptop on next door neighbours internet and the sites work fine. log in straight away, no problems

i was just wondering as i can't contact my isp now, if anyone of you lot with your infinite wisdom can tell me how to fix it?
it sounds to me like it's a problem their end/my line

thanks

Sounds like your firewall or some sort of security setting is blocking your HTTPS port (443).

Can you open this? (should come up with googlemail login page)
https://www.googlemail.com

If not, could be your security settings, your software firewall or the hardware firewall on your router/modem.

Before you do anything else, power cycle your PC and router/modem.

Turn the PC off. Turn the router off. Wait 30 seconds. Turn the router back on, wait for it to do its flashy light stuff then switch the PC back on.

I'm not an expert but people will want to know what operating system you are running, what browser you are using and how you connect to the internet.
