Does your girlfriend or dad (I assume that they're different people ) actually have full motorcycle licences? If they don't, then that idea can go straight out of the window. You'll also have to make sure that the V5 has your girfriend's/dad's details on it.
I think that it is regarded as insurance fraud, but only if you get caught/make a claim, and really isn't worth it in the long run. ____________________ TiN

Why don't you get a quote with you as a named rider on your dad's policy? Slightly safer than relying on the car cover, but is still legally dodgy (but common practice). ____________________ TiN

You won't risk his no-claims if he starts a fresh policy, although that would obviously make things a little more expensive.
But if he has full no claims, then he should be able to protect it for one claim. ____________________ TiN

Hi
Some car policies do cover you to ride bikes (look for wording that you are covered to ride other vehicles). However you are only covered to ride a bike that is insured in someone elses name, and they are still going to have to get it taxed.
Although you can get away with being a names rider, if you get caught out then the insurance company will get quite arsey. Neighbours bought a cheap car which was insured to be used by the 2 sons. One of them wrote it off into the front of a car going the other way. The insurance company were quite nosey before they paid out.
Furthermore, some companies will only insure you with a few years no claims, which is something to think about for the future
All the best
