I've played Ace Combat 6 and another WWII aeroplane game, but wondered if there were any games out that were just about flying planes, opposed to fighting in them?

I remember there was a game on the Playstation 2 called "Sky Odyssey" I loved that game, so something like that would be nice. Thumbs Up

Gash. FS is too much hard work, I want an arcadey style game with an ounce of realism, not a full on sim. Sad

There are settings on flight sim you can adjust to make it less realistic, as far as I know.

You can make most sims arcade-y, including MSFS if that's what you want. Start up your fave plane in something like IL-2/Lock On and set up a mission with NO enemies and take off and fly around and don't shoot/strafe or bomb anything. Practice touch and goes or inverted "how low can I go?" fly bys above the runway.

Turn on the wingtip smoke and do some aerobatics or play chicken flying under bridges/power lines. There used to be an unofficial round the Crimea sightseeing mission in Flanker 2, I think there's the same in Lock On. Practice Carrier trapping all day in Janes F18 or CFS2 or Pacific Fighters.

Find some guys on Hyperlobby that want to do the same (tho the full real types always tend to dominate there). Fly however you want to fly, just have fun.
