Most important thing is - warm it up thoroughly first. Not just getting it off choke I mean a good 5 minutes of steady riding so that the oil, coolant, engine components etc are all up to their working temperatures.
Don't labour the engine too much or too long, higher revs is better than higher load until it's bedded-in nicely. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

when its fitted let it tick over for half and hour , let it cool down completley , then go for a ride keeping revs low and giving it a few blips of throttle every now and then  |
