Hi,

I ride a SV650 and obviously over the last few weeks haven't been using the bike to get to work.

As there is a little break in the weather i decided to move my bike into the sunshine (as it stays covered up but outside the house)

Anyway - The front brake seems to be locked on - shall I just wait for all the snow and ice to melt of it - or am I looking at taking the front wheel off and having a look?

Any help would be a appreciated - very new to biking.

Many thanks

SV650 brakes are notorius for getting bunged up.

If you've been riding in bad weather, it may need a decent clean.
However, it's also possible it's just slightly rusted on - start the engine and see if you can move it forwards at all.

If it frees up instantly, it's good... if it stays really stiff but does turn, it needs a clean.
If it just slides and you've got some traction, it could be either Smile.
