I would probably use one, except I've never seen one for sale anywhere so have no idea how much it'd cost me. Also I would want an easier system then having to strap myself to the frame every time I want to ride (how long is it before I set my jacket off by accident??).

Also if it is set off is that it with the jacket? Do you need a new one then cause I wouldn't be happy if I had a 5mph crash and lost my jacket if I'm totally honest.
