You get to go on and try out 3 bikes that you might want to buy.

Obviously you get filmed, the show is on Men & Motors.

Doh! I can't stand Used Bike Heaven. What sort of bike magazine/program asks someone to ride a bike for 30 mins then give a score for reliability?

I like the bird that presents it though. Wink

"Yes it's a Honda, its got to be good, i'll give it a 10" Gets right up my nose. Sad

I was watching this program the other night. It's quite good. Shame it's only on once a week. I'd love to go on, but A) I don't have a bike, B) I don't have a CBT certificate, and C) I don't even have a provisional! What other good bike programs are on Men & Motors? There's that 'Bike memorabilia' but that's a bag o' poo.

You should keep an eye out for that program that has the bloke who restores things. He was doing a Triumph last week, I didn't get to see it but if it's half as good as the series when they restored an old car then it got to be worth a watch. Think it was Discovery or Home & leisure or something like that.

Just had a quick look, there's '2 wheel 2004' and 'Pitstop Bikes' at three. I'll be watching them.

Andrew, was it where it looked a bit like the Harley Davidson, and they had to bring it in to the hotel room because the suspension broke or something? If so, that bike was amazing! Although, I can't stand Harleys, that was REALLY modified!

Some bloke also said the same about the R1. "It must be reliable, it's a Yamaha". I'm sorry but what the hell has that got to do with how reliable a bike is and how can someone tell in 30 mins. Smile

The bloke who had a go on the R1 managed to work out the the brakes are crap and it don't handle all that well, despite what nearly every magazine/review says.

Don't get me wrong the program is a good idea but i'd rather sit on the toilet and have a shi* with constipation instead of listening to some of the verdicts they come out with. Very Happy Thumbs Up

I don't think the TV have got it right at all yet with any of the bike/car shows I've seen. I watch Top Gear only because it's the better of the Sunday night evils. If you were interested in cars, I mean actually buying, owning and running one, it's completely useless. Unless you are a browsing millionaire that it.

I couldn't agree more, i'd also like to shoot Clarkson in the head.
How can one man be so annoying? Evil or Very Mad

I'd like to see an in-depth bike reviews program that tests bikes the same way people will ride them. Some long-term tests on the TV would also be good. Maybe MCN for the TV with Suzy Perry presenting it. Wink

I think that show is a bit crap. The person chooses one bike out of three from a certain class/type they have specified they are looking for.
I remember one episode was supposed to be sports bikes. They had something like a GSXR and a ZXR and....a Buell!? How does that fall into the same category? The rider obviously didn't choose it!
