Depends if you make a complaint about it to the police tbh..

But people are obnoxious like that , because quite often it actually pays off..

Ie a woman went nuts in HK airport a few weeks ago and was given several free flights to 'compensate' her, even though the thing she was screaming about (missing her flight) was her own fault.

Or a cafe in Manchester there was always a really rude agressive hurry the f*ck up guy at lunch , he was normally allowed to barge to the front of the queue..

And such like

don't give these people the time of day, call the fucking police.

the fact you didnt means she was encouraged to continue then, and in the future.

tbh, id have taken the keys and driven off.

If there's CCTV, then definitely call the police - hopefully she should at the very least get a decent number of points if she's traceable.

The question has to be asked: Why did you give her the keys back the first time around?

Personally, if i'd got her keys i'd have thrown them as far away as i could, preferably into some bushes or down a drain.

Thumbs Up

I had some shouty bloke today because I had the temerity to stick to the speed limit past a camera. He didn't hit me, but it was pretty close.

When I was on L-plates, someone decided to shunt me for going to slow as well. Reported it, nothing seems to have come of it. In fact, I may write a letter as the least the traffic unit could do is let me know they're not going to pursue it!

It's mental, really. Why people get worked up about getting 6' of road space, or getting to the back of a queue 10 seconds faster I'll never know.

I've had a woman do it before, she didn't even realise, clearly didn't know how long the bonnet on her new mondeo was, so i looked at her, made the motion she just hit me and she shrugged, me putting my boot on her bumper made her see sense to apologise.

I'm surprised you kept as cool as you did, in full bike gear i'd have gone mental at her, and the keys would be long gone.

am i the only one seeing the car drivers point of view?

a biker filters to the front of traffic that youve been sitting in for 30 mins and then decides to let everyone out of a junction?

How the hell did he manage to spend half an hour to get a mile if he was filtering.

I can understand car drivers being annoyed, but even if he did filter to the front, that's no excuse for ramming someone - unless you follow the bravado you see on BCF maybe, anyway Smile.

Did you read the post? or do you consider that to be a 'normal' reaction?

The lesson here is don't be nice to car drivers. They choose to drive a car so they can sit in traffic, tough shit! Wink

Last time I tried to help a car driver I dropped my bike.

Can barely believe anyone would have done that.. It's just plain crazy..

Assuming you weren't in a hurry, since you let a ton of cars out anyway.. After taking the keys off her, the first thing I would've done would be to get my phone out, phone the police, and report a collision.. They'd come out and be extremely pissed off, probably at both of you tbf, but she would be the one who got points on her license for driving into the back of you in stationary traffic..

People like that do not deserve to be let off with it, they'll only get used to being let off with it and do it all over again..

By not giving her back the keys, and calling the police you would have held her up even more and she (hopefully) would think twice about doing it again next time she's feeling impatient..

Still can't quite get my head around someone intentionally driving into the back of your bike, it's crazy.. I'd probably drop my bike if someone did that, I often sit with my foot on the rear brake..

I'd definitely have demanded her insurance details at the bare minimum, and any resistance would have been met with a call to the police. Bikes aren't meant to be shunted with enough force to send them 5 feet forwards, and even if she only hit the tyre, I'd be expecting a full health check of the bike on her insurance.

I know what I would have done. Her keys would have been on the other side of the road in a pissing bush.

Then I would laugh loudly when the fatty ran haha.

Stupid cow.

My mate got of the bike and went to speak with the bloke, he knocked on the window and the guy ignored him, knocked again still ignored him. He them proceeded to open the car door and asked the guy if he was deaf as well as blind.

I also wouold have rode off with the keys/throgh them down a drain.

Pulled up at a junction years back on the Divvy and stopped. Then as I pulled away I heard what can only be described as a "loud farting noise" from the back of the bike.

Stopped 30 yards later in a bus stop thinking the shonky exhaust had finally given up the ghost only for a corsa to pull in behind me and a panicked looking woman get out and run up asking if I was alright and trying to confirm if She'd hit me...

I hadn't felt a thing so thought she must've come close but not connected (as I didn't see it happen in my mirrors or feel any kind of impact at all).

Said I was fine (though slightly bemused) and she (with a very relieved demeanour) headed off.

I stood there for a while checking the bike, unsure of what was "ever so slightly odd" about it until I realised she had nudged me. Turns out she'd connected with the mudguard and pushed it onto the tire, so when I pulled away it rolled up under the rear and rubbed on the rubber...

The rear reflector now had a rounded groove in it and after twisting the plastics a bit it came free and rode fine.

K.
