As i said in the new bikers section:

Just got back from the test centre.

Well i didn't pass, but i didn't fail Confused . The test was cancelled due to a mechanical failure on the bike, basically the test was going great, the U-turn i did had to be the best yet, the emergency stop was ok but i pulled the clutch in a wee bit early, also had to do a hill start which was a piece off piss.

On the way back to the test centre, must have been 35 minutes into it the indicators switch just come loose and the indicators wouldn't work, and was also stuck on flashing left for quite a while, i pulled over and told the instructor and she said that the test will have to be cancelled Crying or Very sad .

What annoyed me the most is that i only had to use the indicators 2 more times to get back to the test centre as it was just down the road from there, and the instructor said i would have passed Crying or Very sad . As it wasn't my fault, the place i'm doing my training with and using their bike said they will re-book A.S.A.P for me, i can't blame them as they couldn't have known, why did it have to go then, i was using the same bike for 6 hours the previous day and 3 hours today before the test Mad .

Well hopefully shouldn't be long to wait.

What bad luck!

Never mind - put it behind you and concentrate on passing the next time.

Thumbs Up

Unlucky, bit harsh considering you did the sensible thing and pulled over. After so much of a test surly she could have seen you are a compitent rider!
Good luck for the next one.

I wonder what would have happened if you pulled in, quickly whipped the flashers off/turned them round and did the rest of the test on hand signals? It is permissable to use hand signals on your test. I was told this by my instructor as the flashers on my bike were tempremental. He said if they were playing up on the day of my test, just take them off and leave them in the test centre whilst I did the test.

As it turned out they did work, but I still got a hand-signal in when I stalled on the emergency stop. The bike runs entirely on direct lighting, no engine=no lights. The guy was going to fail me for it until I pointed this out.

Argh.

Poor you. Sad

The back light on the 125 I rented died just as I was doing the 'show me tell me' part of the test. Lucky my instructor had a spare bulb. Smile
