Help!!!

On the way home today I went passed a police speed trap van thingi like the one in the pic.

I passed it from the rear, so heading towards it. Was doing about 70 on a 60 road. It was at the rear were the camera was pointing out of.

My question is do they also have a camera on the front? Meaning when I have passed it will it be able to get my number plate?

occasionally. the one down my way often has his radar gun going out the back and a mobile gatso going out the front.

They can still get you by reading your plate from a front reading as you pass.

Yes, they have a camera in the front and even if that's not working the operator can make a note of your number as you pass.

My only worry is that I have only been driving 8 months. And I am not 100% about this New drivers act? This is what it says

New Drivers Act
Your driving licence is automatically revoked (withdrawn) if you build up six or more penalty points within two years of passing your first driving test.

When it says first driving test what does this mean? I passed my car test 9 years ago and then my bike test 8 months ago. So do I not come under this act with my new bike licence?

Its just a bit to easy to rack up 6 point...

You're fine as it's done on the date of your first license.

if you get a ticket through phone them and tell them you want details of the cameras last service, if its been a while you might get lucky!

Often its up to the bloke who's aiming the camera to swing around and get your plate in time, or the last one i road past tried
