BT batlax could mean half a dozen different ones

45's a good enough tyre on a slow bike, heats up quick, the 14s I have on the FZR are pretty grippy, but slip occasionally, and with absolutely no warning, which is worse imo than being less grippy but giving more feedback.

I'm boycotting bridgestone for a bit though, cos my rear lasted barely 1100 miles.

https://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q399/beatnck2/DSC00533.jpg

Very grippy, stable over bumps and tons of feedback.

I've used bt014's before, they didnt last long and i never really got on with them - just didnt seem to give any feedback, i could never tell what was going on with them. Confused

I've also used bt021's (well, a rear anyway) - lots of grip, very hard wearing, ace in the wet, but quite slow steering, and again not much feedback.
Worth it for commuting/winter riding though Thumbs Up

BT45s seem to be popular on <400s and bikes that are getting on abit. I've had 2 makes of tyres, but my 250 and the BT45s are a perfect match Smile

45's where good on the city fly although squared off quite easily which was slightly annoying when you have plenty of tread on the out edges.

Seemed pretty good in the wet, I remember my first time out in them in some really wet roads and looking in my mirror I could see where the tyre had 'cut' into the water making the path of my tyre.

Used 90's i think they were called on my 400,they were quite good and always used 014's and 56's beforehand on my blade, nobody has ever recommended anything better as it's a limited choice with the 16 inch front.

I really like my 45's, I'm not on that sporty a bike so it suits them well. Not had any issues with them losing grip so far.

I'll probably be going for some 45s for the TZR. Tyres are tyres, right? Laughing

I had my BT021 on the rear replaced as had a puncture/nail damage - It had done about 4K miles up untill then (still loads of wear on it more's the pity). Replaced it with the same.

Can't say I've much experience to compare it with others but for what it's worth the first seemed to wear well (considering I'm a relative noob and brake fiend) - never had any grip issues and ridden through most of winter in damp/rain.

I found the BT014's to be a bit cack, the front end felt vague in the corners almost like it was going to wash out.

Bridgestone BT092's were a joy on my 250, but shame the same can't be said of their 020's and 014's. Wooden feeling from the 020's and very poor once squared off. BT014's were twitchy.

Either way, i've become a dunlop man, although saying that, the BT45 seems to be the commuter's cross-ply tyre of choice.

I'm loling at the fact you just went out the back to check that out. Laughing
Definetly glad that you chose these over the vipers or used corsa's then?

Personally I've road allot on BT45's and BT090's,
Prehaps BT45's are a bit lacking in response but it's hard for me to say, I have'nt road on them in a while.
They do get upto temperature quickly though, and I found them to last quite a while, even considering the way that I typically eat through tyres.
As for BT090's I cannot fault them, they don't last long though, but I put that down to my riding more than the tyres.

I didnt Laughing

But yeah, im pleased with them.
They should last a bit longer than the racetecs or corsas, and i can actually get the warm enough to work, even in febuary, and i cant see the vipers being better than these anyway.

Vipers Confused... made by Avon... better? Confused Confused

Anyway, I find supercorsas/rennsport offer plenty of grip from cold and don't need to be warmed up for typical 'road use'. I was using my rennsport front in the snow fine.

However I always liked the 010, which I believe is an older version of the 016.

Had a pair of BT090's on the babyblade a couple of years ago. Had a low side. And have gone off them since.

Best tyres I've ever owned, Were my Pirelli Supercorsa Pro's. By far!

Used 45's on the Divvy and tried 20's and 21's on the ZZR. Now got 21's on the VFR as well and they do seem to be a decent and hard wearing tire setup.

Mind you, tried Dunlop Sportmax qualifiers (D208's ? or 209's...) and they gave much better grip wilst only taking a tiny amount of time longer to warm up. The ZZR felt much better on those than the 20's.

090 FTW, that is all.

45's are a decent commuter tyre as well.

I've got an 014 on the front and an 016 on the back. I like the feel, but the back has squared off quite fast with my motorway based commute. I think I may need to look at the 021s when I replace them.

I ran BT45's on my XJ600 and I found them to be fine, enough grip and long lasting.

I almost bought some 021's for the ZRX but I got some Avon Storm ST's instead and they're wicked so I wouldn't know what the Bridgstones are like on a faster bike.
