Hi all, im from Portugal and i need some help.

I have a NSR125R from 1990, and im changing ther parts. I want to put a body of a NSR125R from 2000 but i dont know if that its possible. Sorry for my english, i hope you understand me.

The thing that i want to do its something like changing the plastic of 1990 to the new 2000.

And anyone know what i have to change ?

Waiting a answer,

André Marques

Best regards english motards!! Smile

Anything is possible. The 'new' NSR (foxeye) is very different to the old one. For a start the frame is totaly different as is the tank, you will have nothing to bolt the fairings to.

If you want a newer NSR then buy one, it will be cheaper than converting as all you will have left of the original is the engine and a rolling chassis!

It's better than the majority of the 16 year old 'Ped Bois'

It's gonna be a lot of hassle. The tank will not fit, and the lights may involve a fair bit of bodging.

If the fairing does fit on the bike, and all the panels line up. It's going to involve a lot of custom parts. If you're good at making up brackets and welding them on, then give it a go.

Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Well a list of bits I think you will need.

A complete set of fairings. Petrol tank. Headlights. rear lights. Brackets and fairing braces. Seat. Seat lock. Subframe. A wiring loom with ALL of the electrical components including switch gear, CDI etc. You may also need to change the alternator and bottom coil.

Then of course if you manage somehow to weld on all the fixings to the frame, subframe and front of the bike for the fairings and other parts then you will still have a bike that looks like a piece of shit.

Don't bother, but if you do post photos for our amusement.

Thumbs Up
