Hi.
I have a META alarm, it's the 'M357T V2', and have 2 remotes. the remote i use regulaly seemed to have flat betteries a while ago so i switched to the other remote whilst i got the batteries, i relpaced them and the remote worked for a few 'presses' after that it stopped again. I spoke to one dealer who said perhaps the remote has gone out of sync when changing the batteries (or maybe before and they weren't even flat) but didnt seem to know how to re-sync the remote.
does anyone here know how to do it? the instructions jsut say to go to a dealer but i dont think anyone local is a proper META dealer.
also, which way do the batteries go? there are two small, watch type batteries, not convinced they are right either and have no way of checking at the moment. can anyone help me?

thanks
calum.

Batteries - 2 x 3v CR1220, They fit with both + facing up so the - is on the curcuit board.

The Meta's are not like Data Tag and can not be reprogramme, If you dont have the card thats got a unique code on. if have got the code you should be able to have it reprogrammed. If not a new fob to be made with that code is about £30ish.

Hope this helps. If its wrong then blame Meta as this is what they told me when I contacted them. Very Happy

Calum whilst I have the same alarm I've not had these problems; I also have two fobs and have recently replaced the batteries with no problems.

Suzuki fit Meta alarms as standard and your local dealer will either be able to put you in touch with a technician or book you in to service your alarm system. Thumbs Up

thanks for both replies.

i've just checked the batteries and i'd be pretty sure i had them right - but i'll try it again in the morning just to be sure.
I do have the red key-card, and the code written down several times! so that's not a problem ... i just thought you had to have that done originally - and after that it was ok, maybe just needed 're-syncing' or something.

LeeR - do you know how much a service is? i could do with the fob being sorted but i also got it wet when washing the bike (back of the ZZR where the number plate light is doesn't have any lens and water goes up then when washing it) so it crackles - seems better now it's had ages to dry out (several months) but still does it a bit. would it possibly be included in the service of the bike because that's due soon too.

thank you.

Sorry mate I don't, mine crackles as well so it's a job I'm lining up myself, as it's not one of the main priorities (brake pads, new tyres, snapped chain etc...) I've been putting it off but really must get it done soon, very soon!

If I have it done in the next week or so I'll let you know. Thumbs Up
