a: Try a quote with the different options.

b: Without knowing your current skill level it's hard to say. My brother did an AIM course and didnt feel his riding improved any.

Hi, I did an IAM course for bikes an cars. Cars didn't really do much for me, but bike, it certainly helped me a lot, and gain a lot of confidence.

Don't do these things thinking it'll save money, it won't, the membership/fees will always cost more than the reduction in insurance.
