Has anyone toured the Pacific Coast? I'm considering touring the coast from southern Oregon to the Bay Area. I'm looking for advice regarding good choices for tents that provide serious protection from rain, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, stove, etc.

I'd like to invest in rugged, light weight bicycle camping gear. I would prefer a tent with extra room, and at least one vestuble, so I can put most or all of my stuff inside the tent, or under cover.

Any suggestions concerning campsights, stealth camping, or hostels?

I doubt it, considering this is a UK based motorcycle forum.

Funny how I stumbled upon this forum! I was doing a search about bicycles, and this forum popped up.
