Not sure if this should be in here or the workshop, but ah well.

Im looking at getting my bike re jetted soon, Its a gpz750r and it will be rejetted once I put on a kerker end can, with a baffle.

How much will it roughly cost to get it re jetted to suit?

Im assuming it will be a dyno run, then a bit tinkering, another dyno run, then some fine tuning?

Probably about £250. Best bet is to call a local dyno center and ask. Most nowadays don't like working on carbed bikes.

Most important thing is to give it a good service, new air filter, new plugs, balance carbs, valve clearance check etc before you take it. No use dynoing a bike with a clagged-up filter etc coz the A/F will be reported wrong.

Try Kev at Projex,cradley heath,01384 633 759,give him a bell but as said above he's not too keen on carbs,sound bloke though.

Is that right? I suppose that re-mapping an ECU is much quicker than removing and dismantling carbs, but there must still be a lot of carb'd bkes out there!

The Dyno man who rejet my CBR (he owed me a huge favour) was pained to setup my CBR with its carbs as he'd not done carbs for years with EFI being all the rage.

I know a guy who just charges £40 an hour but he specifies in 2 strokes so it's a bit useless.

A guy on the Fizzy forum, based in Doncaster.

I asked him if I could take my TZR down to him and he said it wouldn't be a problem.

He managed to get an extra HP out of a YB100 engine in minutes just by correcting the jetting.
