Well here goes my 1st thread, 1st project, and with no mechanical skills at all apart from what i've helped warped with, which was a head change and minor stuff. So please don't say i'm boring i'm just learning. Embarassed

So i've aquired a Honda Cb125tde Superdeam off Warped.

Currently the bike is in a bit of a state after been sat outside since last july when he got the GT, so today after a few weeks of wanting to start I finally did, got it uncovered and threw the GT out in the yard and set to work.

The 1st problem was moving it, the front brake was tight, but with no engine in it, I got warped to pick it up and stick it in the garage. Then had a quick servey of the bike and took off the tank, side panels, seat and back wheel.

The back wheel was covered in shyte from when warped had it and never cleaned Twisted Evil so out came the bucket and water and cleaned the who thing. That was the easy part because having never taken out a back wheel and warped just sitting there with a cup of coffee and a fag been a lazy twat just telling me what to do, I found it hard but got there in the end Very Happy

So up to now what i've found that I need is:-

- Set of pistons
- Cam chain
- Cam chain tensioner
- Engine needs spliting and resealing
- Back tyre
- Back light lens
- Tank (majorly dented by warped after a scamera got him)
- Clutch cable
- Front break lever
- Battery

And the jobs to be done are :-

- Total strip down
- Frame powder coated
- Exhaust needs patching up (Warped's lazy bodge at a hole)
- Minor electronics
- Maybe spraying it
- Engine rebuild
- General bits and bobs

Thanks for reading, more to come.

By the sound of it, I hope he paid you...

So you need the frame sorting, the engine sorting, the exhaust sorting, the electrics sorting, and 'general bits and bobs'.

And after that it's still a wetdream!

At least you'll learn stuff I suppose!

That's not going to be cheap, unless you have some good breakers and matey mechanics about.

Good luck though. Nothing better than keeping an oldie on the road.

i think id get a xr250 motor a drop it in and just pretend its a 125
ebay and with the twin exhaust it'd even almost look to the untrained eye that it was still a twin
