Does the throttle snap back ok - I am assuming that it does, then it would preclude the cables, which would hold it at constant revs, not increase.
Not sure if an airleak somewhere would cause this, or have the carb tops been off recently - it could, at an outside chance, be that the needle piston thing has got the hole blocked so is not closing back down properly - air leak may be best bet. ____________________ https://www.timhastingsracing.co.uk/

hi
you say you are adjusting the tic-over with the screw
the carbs have a remote adjustment knob or im pretty sure they do
so to me this looks like you are adjusting these carbs with the balance screw adjuster on the linkages and this would cause the running you describe i might be wrong but would like to see a pic of the adjustment screw you are turning to clear this up hth |

I had what seems to be exactly the same problem with mine about a month ago now.
I stripped the carbs and cleaned them followed by balancing and now it runs perfectly. ____________________ And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How much slack is in the throttle cables, try backing the tension right off to see if that settles it any ____________________ https://www.timhastingsracing.co.uk/

What he actually means is that I'm going to get the carbs out and give them a good clean and the cables as well ... then I'll re-install and balance them for him
Should've done it before I let him buy it |
