Stability Problem??

Just lately I've been having a few probs with the foums. About half a dozen times now its stopped workin completely, where I get the 'Page Cannot Be Displayed' crap when I click a link. Generally it takes 15/30 mins to come back online.
Also, the icons on the index page that show the new topics status keep disappearing. Sometimes they all show, sometimes I get all crosses, sometimes just the no new posts will show etc.

Hi

Sometimes get something similar if I hammer it. For example click on loads of threads and open them each in a new window

Not had a problem with it then locking up for 15~30 minutes

I dont tend to hammer it at all. i sometimes have 2 windows open looking a different foums but thats about it.

The forum is doing fine, can't see any problems that might cause this.

Actually I've just found a little tweak I'd forgotten to make - any faster now?

Are you on BT ADSL? I sometimes get a similar problem where I can't access BCF, but can get pretty much everywhere else. I usually just reconnect (reboot the router in my case) and that usually solves it.

Nah, Pipex ADSL but it is a BT line.

The forum icons thing has always happened to me - i've just noticed that it happens on another PHPBB board that I use as well so it must be my machine. Rolling Eyes

It is upgraded. Apart from the very latest patch, which is about 2 days old!

I do use Zone Alarm but I always have done so cant see why it should happen now. Oh well, the forum hasnt locked me out for a few days so i'll just forget it ever happened!
