Cold tear in tires

As per the title, is this anything to worry about? Will the tears scrub out?

Can you not sand it back down so it's smooth? Would guess that your grip would be affected with the tires in that state.

Will be fine, as you lean onto that part of the tyre it will wear it own smooth again.

As above - no problems, calmer riding with smooth it out.

Apparently sand paper is bad for tyres as it gets bits of sand into the tyre which wears them more.

It doesn't really cause any problems. Also, incidentally, may not be 'cold' tear specifically. Just general harsh use.
