No point paying triple for the USD's to put it back on the road to find out i dont like it then sell it at more of a loss.
The later 600 forks do the same as the USDs but are just RWU anyway.
Sorry no update today as i woke up late for work whilst suffering a hypo and tried to convince my mum time didnt exist and that there was no scientific proof of it...
I'll take the seals in tomorow and fit them in my lunch break, i'm still trying to get my bits ordered up but the partsman was busy as hell today.

Lmfao not really they are right cunts to work on,.

Anyway, i set the forks out on my bench to strip them but couldnt find the tool in time so i tried anyway and only got the old fluid out by undoing the bolt that holds all the damping unit together.
On the bench.

Found a tool i could used, was scared i was going to srtip it lol.

Well one fork seal done! Laughing Just need to put fluid in it and do the other one!
Pull this pin here...
https://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p97/IXILONEWOLFIXI/DSC02436.jpg
Then pull really hard with a motion similair to that of a dent puller...
https://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p97/IXILONEWOLFIXI/DSC02437.jpg
After i got the thing apart i got the last bit of oil out and then took the old seal off and put the new one one with a bit of lube so i didnt damage it.
I put the old seal over the top of it and tapped it down with a little hammer sliding it along the fork leg so not to damage it.
https://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p97/IXILONEWOLFIXI/DSC02438.jpg
The new seal slid into place but i needed it to go further down but the old seal got stuck-ish so i took it out and chopped the old one in half an then tapped it in again and then put the nap ring back in place. I then air wrenched the bolt that holds the damper assembly and forks together again.
I should of gotten more pics tbh so i will get more when i do the 2nd leg for future refference.
Ordered a screen for £41 like new, just need a mudguard and right hand air tube with rubbers and mesh, should be a nice big update wednesday on head stock bearings and wheel bearings. Thumbs Up

Wolf, alot to be said for buying proper OEM bolts! If you have a parts list it's easy to source them.

Well lets just say the bolts can be easyily sources due to resources... thats all i can say without gettin into trouble tbh.
I just want it to be propper again just like your 2 smoke blue, i'll know that the bolts arnt right and it will eat away at me and i wont be happy with it.

So far i just want it on the road to get to the meet i have said i will be attending, i've ordered tyres and stuff, i just need to complete assembly which means time, im goin to be hard pushed but like usual, i will succeed and if i dont then i'll just be completely disappointed in myself.

SHE RUNS!!!!

Lol epic story today but sadly no pics, thread should be pic heavy tommorow!

My bike wouldnt start, so after panicing about a starter solenoid that was perfectly fine and a tip over sensor that didnt exist, i looked at the start button that i originally thought was the source of the problem, I was correct!

Heres a little drawing.
https://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p97/IXILONEWOLFIXI/Switchdia.jpg

So how did i fix the problem? Well, i found another switch gear from scrap and took it apart and hey presto! there was a little brass top hat in there like mine, but it was too big, i had to put it in a vice and file it down. Easy you say? oh no it wasnt lol, the top hat i'm talking about was smaller than the end of a kids crayola crayon, about 1/5 the size of a 5p coin? Not too sure.

I filed it down and glued it into the press part of the button and fitted the spring that acts as part of the circuit and it fired up like a good girl.

Sorry for lack of photos but mother nature did that not me.
Plenty of pics tomorow, thanks for looking.
