Well, i'd say i'm officially a cager but with summer coming up i've only just decided to jump back on a bike, the bike will be a Bandit, always liked them made me smile when i had a hire bike & can't wait.

Anyone else selling up for a bike?

Very Happy

Got my CBR still and will be keeping at the moment.

I bought one of those new shape Ford Fiestas at the end of Jan but still waiting for delivery which is apparantly near the end of this month.

To be honest, I'd always prefer to have both but mainly because some of the work stuff I do needs a car, personally most of the stuff I do could be done just on a bike.

No just stupid Smile

I get a car allowance at work so have to have a new car every now and then (now in the terms). I get to pick and go get it myself etc. The Fiesta was about the cheapest thing I could get away with that had a built in bluetooth system. It also drives reasonably well for a little car.

Logic has been I've been driving around in either a WRX Impreza or a 2.5 V6 Freelander, both nice cars but drink petrol ridiculously fast. Trips to just the office were costing me £30 a time and if I done that three times a week or went to other locations it was getting expensive.

So was really on a cheap and cheerful decision rather than something that was good.

Tbh, I get more fun out of the bike at the moment. I'll prob swap the car in a year or two for something a bit more fun.

Yeah, test drove quite a lot and it feels bigger than it is inside. Its dimensions are a nats arse smaller than the original focus as well.

In terms of features and bang for buck (read Ford giving ludicrous discounts on it) it made sense really.

Selling up for the summer? Hell no - dry grippy roads, roof down, tunes on, ample suncream... summer f'king rules.

I don't deny that it is probably a very good little car. Shame it is absolutely hideous. For the record, I love Fords, and I love Ford Fiestas the most. Every one apart from the Mk3 I think is nice, and would own, this one is just plain nasty looking.

Maybe there is a pattern?

Mk1 - Nice
Mk 2 - Nice (my fave)
Mk 3 - Looks nasty, and rots like a dead animal.
Mk 4 - Nice (especially the Zetecs)
Mk 5 - Nice (love the RS)
Mk 6 - A mother couldn't love it's looks.

The next one should be a peach!

I need transport to get to work, but I think I might try to sell my 3-series when (or if) the weather is good and use the bike for work until I get a new car.

I sold my car last year, but I'm thinking of getting another (bike will stay) so I can get back into gigging over the summer. It's hard to carry a guitar and amp on a bike.
