Hi all,

I've got my R6 in bits and I'm wanting to get the suspension off to K-tech for service and set up and I also want to get a respray of the fairing. It's a bit scratched up after 10 years and I think some new shiny paint will look good. Obviously new fairings are going to cost a lot so I want to get mine (which are fine apart from the paint) painted up.

What I need to know though is the best way to prepare the fairings for paint and does anyone know any good paint shops in or around sussex?

Thanks in advance

Craig G(Noggin)

Remove all vinyls if there are any stilll on.

Then what you will need to do is key the paint off, so the new paint will stick, any deep cuts in the fairing will need getting flat.
The it will need de greasing and tack ragging.
But if your plan is to take them to a paint shop they should do the two lsat things and they may even prep them for you.
