hiya, i'm planning on going to the nurburg ring in the summer with my partner. Is it possible to book a day of going round the track or do you have to buy laps? Also, when do they open and close. any advice would be appreciated, thanks

I’ve been to the ring a few times, for your first time try and do it during the week as the weekends are mental and avoid bank holidays they are a nightmare. When it’s busy it’s great to be there to see all the types of cars and bikes but the Ring is busy and loads of crashes because of this. Week days are a lot quieter and the majority of users are locals or have a lot of experience so you don’t get any knobs driving around, and generally a safer time, although they come pass you at some speed.
There are a few rules and guides to take into account when on the ring that will help you stay alive;
Stick to the right and if you’re going to be over taken keep to the right and put your indicator on so that the person knows you seen them.
If you see a dot in your mirror get ready to get out of the way as they will be all over you in a matter of seconds. In some areas of the ring the difference in speed between a knoob and an experienced ring rider is over 100 mph.
If you do not have to time to check your mirrors you’re riding too fast for your ability.
Do not time your laps

Safe riding
