Here's what I did
Omaha is a must-do. I'd defy anyone not to feel a lot of emotion at the cemetery.
Otherwise, theres absolutely loads to do in the area if you're at all interested in D-Day. Point Du Hoc, St Mere Eglise and Pegasus Bridge were the highlights for us.
We did everything in a day, but we were rushing it far too much. You could easily spend 3 full days. ____________________ Current Bike: Triumph Speed Triple T309

Cool, glad you liked it. You'll have a great time over there
The massive bridge is at Le Havre - lookign at google maps I dont think you'll be going over it though.
Depending on how interested you are in the D-Day stuff, you might want to doa bit of reading first - it helps to put the areas and sights into a bit more context.
I can highly recommend D-Day, by Stephen Ambrose, the guy that wrote Band of Brothers. Its in depth, but his writing style makes you forget you're reading a history book It gets criticised by being a bit biased towards the American effort, but I'm not sure thats true. I've also read his book about Pegasus Bridge, and he shows a huge amount of respect for the British troops in that book. ____________________ Current Bike: Triumph Speed Triple T309
