How It Works

If you see an item you would like to borrow;

Post in this thread that you wish to request the item. Your name will then be added to queue in the original post by The Librarian. When the current holder of the item, or the person in front of you in the queue, is finished with the item, they will contact you for a delivery address to send it to.

When you have finished with the item;

Post in this thread that you are finished, and the Librarian will amend the original post to let everyone know it's available once again. Or alternatively if there is a list of people, contact the next person on the list to alert them that it's available.

If you have an item you would like to donate;

Post in this thread that you wish to donate your item(s) with as much info about the item as possible . The Librarian will then amend this post to add the item(s) to the Library for everyone to see that the item is available for lending.[/size]
_____________________________________________________

*The original system was a bit of a 'mare trying to keep track of, so instead it's been left to look after itself, hoping that borrowers would look to see who would like to borrow the book next.

If you would like to donate a book to the Library, PM me here and and I'll add it to the list of books available for lending.

This is the BCF Library
All the books and media listed below are donated by, and available to, all BCF members.

This all relies on the honour system.
By agreeing to borrow the items, you are also agreeing to pass them on, without delay, when you're done.
If you don't, the system breaks down. Don't be a spanner in the works!

Slight correction: mine is this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-Theory-Test-Motorcyclists-2008/dp/0115529292 - i.e. the paperback version, not the PC-CD version you have pictured/linked.

I made the original mistake when I offered it, so probably my fault Smile

no - my apologies, I'm working stupid shifts at the moment, and the one day I had last week to go to the post office, my time was monopolised by other people and I didn't get chance! It's wrapped and ready to go as soon as I can post it Mr. Green Thumbs Up

I knew there was a reason why I don't sell on eBay anymore Razz

Would love "The Official DSA Theory Test - donated by Rufus " if possible. I know I am a new member though, so would be happy to provide eBay (450+ 100%)/other forum (ex mod) references.

Yes I will try - this info comes from the Post Office site after plugging in details about it (I stupidly didn't send it by recorded delivery) and might be useful to others who have lost things in the post:

Quote:
We're sorry your First Class mail sent on 4/4/2009 still hasn't arrived. Your item is still in transit and will hopefully be with you within the next day or so. If you still haven’t received your item after 15 days (from the date of posting) please contact us again.

Also:

Quote:
Has your mail item arrived five or more working days after it was posted?
If so, your mail is classified as ‘delayed’, and we’ll give you compensation of 12 First Class stamps. If you provide additional evidence of delay and your claim for compensation is accepted, you will be sent a cheque for £5, or for £10 if your item has suffered substantial delay (i.e. was delivered more than eleven working days after the day of posting') and you provide additional evidence or proof of delay.

What happens if your mail is lost?
If your mail gets lost, we’ll give you a minimum compensation of 12 First Class stamps. However, if there was something of value in your mail, we'll refund the actual loss, up to maximum value of 100 First Class stamps or up to the market value, whichever is the smaller amount. Please apply for this within 12 months.

Please note that we do not pay compensation without an original certificate of posting being produced.

Only just noticed this. Really should glance at the stickies more often.
Sounds like a great idea if we can get more stuff on the list. Will have a look round the house for anything that may be of use.

Anyways, would it be possible to get next in line for:
Motorcycle Roadcraft: Police Rider's Handbook.

Was going to order from Amazon today actually so it was a fortuitous time to notice the thread. PM me for address.

Hi everybody
Just passed my theory test and as promised I would like to pass the "Learn to Ride" (2008/09 Edition, Paperback) donated by JackRendle.
I also have "The Official DSA Biker Pack & Theory Test and Better Biking" PC CD ROM & DVD https://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-Biker-Theory-Better-Biking/dp/0115529411/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1240873824&sr=8-5

PM me and it's yours. Just pass it over after you're done with it.

P.S I'm no longer in the queue for Learn to ride book from Mr Hammers.

Sorry for the delay in sending out Roadcraft, we're currently in the process of moving house and it's been misplaced amongst a bunch of other stuff. As soon as I find it I'll post it out.

Cheers.

I couldn't remember my passy to get into the account Embarassed , and I didn't write it down at the time, and Chrome forgot it too.

Got it now though, only I'm not quite sure who was what anymore! I'll see if I can work it all out and update it.

Edit: Ok, I *think* it's all correct now...let me know if anything is wrong! Thumbs Up
