Went for a ride tonight, with my mate, up through Barnolby, the up the A18 to Humberside airport then turned left to go to Caistor, came out of there and stopped for a smoke and to warm my hands up, talking to my mate, and noticed that the bike moved forward a bit, went to pull it back and then it just rolled of the stand and straight on it's side. Thankfully all it's done is bent the clutch lever, so no real damage, but still p1ssed off about it.

Does this qualify for the spill counter?

think you have to be riding the bike to count as a spill.

damaging your bike when at a standstill is incredibly anoying as it is always usually your actions that cause it to happen and is usually a stupid action. i knocked my bike off a dodgey paddock stand and broke a mirror, bent the mirror frame, scuffed the bar end and cracked the fairing.

skided and fell off the bike at 20mph after hitting an oil slick and only scratched the crash bung

any idea what caused it to move forward in the first place? sidestand not fully extended or on a slippery surface?

Well I know for certain that it can't be the side stand not been out properly, because I always pull the bike backwards and to te left when I purt it on, so i'm certain it is, and it was on a little slope but my drive way is worse than that was.

I'm puzzled.
