Hi all
I have a honda cg125 es 2004, and i bee having a bit of fun with it as i cant seem to sort the front brake out. The brake has been bled but i dont know if i have refilled it right, as i cant get any pressure. i had to change the caliper over as the original has got some damage to the pins due to rust and rendered the pins useless
any help welcome

Dont know the set up but surely bleed and top up at the same time as to not let air back in, I take it you checked the piston/s are moving and all surfaces is grease free?

You are most likely bleeding it wrong, which is a very easy thing to do once you have the right technique, but on the other hand very easy to get wrong.

Either persevere with bleeding it the normal way or get a pressure bleeder (the simplest/cheapest form of which is to suck on the end of 2 metres of clear tubing from B&Q. Don't swallow brake fluid, it'll make your eyes water)

Just cus no more air isn't coming out does not mean that it has been bled 100% , you still get 10000s of tiny bubbles and or air trapped in the lines, give the lines a shake.

My CBR only starts pushing the pistons a fair while after the big bubbles have finished coming out.

just out of curiosity whats the best way to do this. i got a self bleeder kit from the local bike shop but the valve don't seem to allow air to flow either way.

i have replaced the caliper, as the one i got with the bike, the bolts supporting the brake pads, was hacked into last time they were done, and now the head completely corroded so bought a caliper on ebay. now when resetting the piston, can it be pushed too far back messing up the seal (something one of my friends mentioned). i know the piston did work though as it started to clamp when there was no fluid in it when the original cable was on it, so i had thought of putting the newer caliper onto the newer brake cable system and testing it again.

easy way to figure it out (set a) already on bike (set b) from ebay, replaced (set a) caliper with (set b ) caliper.

i also know that the washers on the fluid tube go a certain way, as they have a grove in them.
