I will be changing to a job in central London soon, a 50 mile round trip, and don't fancy using my Tuono everyday thanks to its insatiable thirst for fuel.
I want to use the train and don't live near a station really. So I'd like a simple 50 or 125 for riding to the station, where I'd lock and leave it all day. I would like to be able to stow away my helmet under the seat or something, and have a very sturdy piece of hard luggage so I can take out outer clothing and lock it in there for the day.
Reliable, unappealing to thieves, cheap to run/maintain, etc.
What would anyone suggest? I haven't thought of an exact budget yet, but nothing new and I'm looking for purpose not looks or performance. ____________________ Current: '07 Suzuki SV1000 & '07 Honda SH300i (again).

Why not get a 500 or 600 to commute on, as i would think it will work out a lot cheaper than the train.
I would guess you are really looking at some kind of scooter for underseat storage for helmet.
Or you could get a CG lid in top box and fit a pair of panniers. But even the most unlikely bike will dissapear if they see you leaving stuff in it like that all day every day.
From what you are saying you might as well bus to station. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

What sort of distance to station, and what facilities do they have for securing a bike.
I would just scour the local adds and ebay and see what you can pick up cheap. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
