Hi,
Can anyone please help me, my son has just taken his first bike for an mot and it failed on its suspension being worn, l've had a look at the pro linkage and its very rusty, one bolt is too long and it is filled with washers to make it fit (also has a very lot of movement in it), l also think that some of the other bushes could do with replacing. The problem l've got now is, is that l've got a better pro link suspension off another ns125r that we are using for spares, but l've noticed that on this one theres play in one of the linkages aswell, l've contacted a well known Honda dealer and they have told me all but one of the pro link suspension parts are no longer available, so my questions is, does the bike have to be scrapped just because of this problem or do l have to find a some more suspension in better conditon (which is doulbt full if parts cannot no longer be bought) or can the original rubber and metal bushes be removed and replaced ?. If so does anyone know where l can get these bushes replaced.
Many thanks for your help

Hi
Honda seem to be getting far worse at not supplying spares for older bikes.
Not certain but I suspect that in each one there is a plastic bush that is a tight fit in the linkage and a steel bush in the middle. Likely that both are damaged (the steel bush having corroded and then worn the plastic bush). If necessary you could probably get someone with a lathe to knock up a set for you.
Those bushes are probably available as pattern parts (try asking Sickpup on here, he might well be able to source some for you), or maybe just the plastic ones (Raymax certainly used to list them but no idea if they are still in business).
All the best
