My rear can't be balanced on a standard motorcycle wheel balancer on account of it being a single sided swingarm.
As a result, it has never been balanced, doesn't seem to make any difference.
Also check the rear wheel alignment and make sure the brakes aren't binding.
Some tyres do feel a bit flighty when very new in my experience, something that usually passes. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

If you can balance the pair you should to save wearing out your forks or rear shock-absorber. An out of balance tyre will rack-up a lot of cycles in the shock/forks on a journey. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
