Got a mates wedding there in August and as such will be using it as an excuse for a few days there.

Anyone got recommendations of places to visit? Even maybe hotel recommendations?

Went with OH back in 2005 - As she was born/raised there she took me to a few places.
However the ruins is a good place to start - I found it awesome to walk around them Thumbs Up

If you head 20 mins out of town, there are some great beaches.

And make sure you hit the clubs on the coast. They are awesome and greek girls are tasty!!!!
