Slime - Does it work and how much?

Right firstly, im wondering if slime actually works to help seal or prevent punctures?

I've recently filled my rear tyre with 8 ounces of the stuff.

Furthurmore i read motorcycle tyres should have 8-16 ounces, i have 8 ounces spare, should i put this in the rear as well or save it for the future? i would put it in the front but dont want to risk messing with the handling of the bike.

hi,
dunno about slime, but a few years ago i "aquired" 2 or 3 bottles of that ultraseal stuff.
& never had a puncure with it fitted.
but whos to say i wouldnt have had a punture anyway?
well, when i eventually went to get the tyre replaced, the fitter wasnt pleased.(as there was purple stuff all over the place, lol)
but he did say there was at least 8 very small punture marks that the stuff had filled.
i still have a bottle, which holds 700ml & it states on the label, "does 2 or 3 tyres"
its actually measured in units & is marked on the bottle. bottle holds 25 units.
it comes with a handy chart with tyre sizes on it,
for example : 100/90/18 needs 8 units.
i figured a "unit" was 28ml (700/25) so tyre would need 224ml .
now that i have found another unopened bottle of the stuff, im tempted to stick it in one of the bikes....

Luckily i kinda know the lads at the local garage so im sure covering them in bright green liquid come tyre changing time will cause some amusement.

I might just cram the extra 8 ounces in the rear for the extra piece of mind, id rather by the ultraseal as ive heard it to be better anyway!
