Prolonged time at high and constant revs is never a good idea, however I'm presuming the redline is about 14k, so it's not /that/ bad. As far as I know it's not cable driven, like my old mz you had to give it a couple squirts of juice to make sure it was getting 2t.

i

Probably not doing it the world of good, but also suggests that you are running lowered gearing (RS125 is normally about 10mph per 1000rpm).

Red line is at just under 11k.

All the best

Surely that was only down hill? Confused

MZs have a cable operated pump as far as I know, so if you are blasting along at say 60mph then the throttle will be open, so the pump will be pumping more oil to compensate for that.

i used to ride a lot on the A3 on my CG!(30 miles each way) i used do 55 flat out each way for about 45/50 mins and never had a problem!

I think 4 strokes handle high revs better then 2 strokes!could be wrong!

I did a 3 hour ride out to brighton red lining my bike loads in that 3 hours and the bike seemed to almost like it lol

2-Strokes have a habit of coking up the cylinder and exhaust, with a prolonged blow-through, you could actually be doing it some good Wink

That said 9k with the readline at 11 is quite revvy ... I'd be tempted to down gear it such that its sitting at 8k for the same speed ... that way it gets a nice blow-through, but isn't under as much duress! Thumbs Up

My Kymco's done a fair few trips from Stoke to Manchester (A34 rather than M6, but still a fair bit of fully open throttle) - copes fine, and in fact seems more responsive afterwards, as if nailing it has cleared some crap out of the engine or something.
