You're a wee bit early with your question are you not ?
Anyway :
Broadcast rights holder signs new one-year deal with ITV
NEW TT broadcasts rights holder North One has rejected long-term BBC TV coverage of the Isle of Man TT.
The BBC has withdrawn from showing televised coverage of next year's TT festival because it says the terms of the contract on the table were unsatisfactory. BBC Northern Ireland apparently wanted a four-year deal based on two one-hour programmes each year and was only offered a one-year option, so it terminated further negotiations.
However, North One supremo Neil Duncannon has signed a one-year contract for terrestrial coverage on ITV1 and digital broadcast on ITV4. Duncannon says the reason a BBC deal fell out of bed was because North One intends to offer a live TT media package from 2010 onwards and didn't want to compromise the future sales potential of this fresh approach.
