Hi im thinking of selling my bike but i have lost the papework for the bike.a dealer will possably buy the bike do i need to apply for docs before they buy the bike??also the mot and tax ran out this week can i mot the bike without the docs??

Yes you can MOT without the V5C or any documentation you bring along the old MOT so the date is preserved.

You can apply for a V5C yourself with a V62 form + £25 as you lost it, or you can get the dealer to do it which will be free for him but be work for him which he will use to knock down the price.

cool is there any way that i can prove the bike is mine???i still have the orig recipt and mot with my name on that enough???
