My girlfriends Aunty's son has a Chinese bike which doesn't run right now.

Apparently it broke down (no surprise) and he had a go at fixing it...but gave up.
Its been stood ages now. Its a 125 cruiser looking thing, bit like a Yamaha Intruder?
Im gonna take it to mine as it is a bloody waste just sat there, ill do it up and ask them for some dollar.
So, what i want to know is, is it going to be impossible to get parts, or not too much bother?

Any help would be great along the way.

Cheers Thumbs Up

Depends which one it is. My first 125 was a Suzuki GZ125, there was the chinese one for the asian and american market, and the spanish made one for the european market, both made under license for suzuki.

Mine was the chinese one (didn't know until i came to get a clutch cable) and i believe the JinLun 125 cruiser shares A LOT of same parts. They do look very different at a quick glance but things like engine parts, running gear etc is the same.

Any idea what is wrong with it? If you can find out for sure if the engine is the same then i have a box full of GZ125 engine parts in the cellar (outsput shaft sheared but managed to pick up a 2nd hand engine cheaper than a new bottom end)

Would of worked out a bit more expensive, but A LOT quicker to get hold of a new bottom end than just a new output shaft (considering that there was swarfy bits of metal in the engine casing.
