Hey there
I had an oil change during a recent service and I think the mech put in Silkolene Pro 4 (which I believe is fully synthetic). I need to top it up, but am struggling to find Pro 4 in the shops.
Can I put in any fully synthetic oil instead or is it best to keep it the same?
Thanks in advance |

In an ideal world you would be best to stick to the same oil, but generally speaking any synthetic oil of the same grade will be fine. Don't forget too that if you are really desperate then any oil is better than none. ____________________ Yamaha YZF-R6 |

Not being silly, but surely where you got the bike serviced will stock Silcoline you can buy?
If not, you can mail order it from a stockist.
Or just buy some online - after a quick google-fu:- https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_cat/144
As Matt said, stick with the same unless you are so low that its going to cause damage between now and when you can get some of the same stuff, in which case stick anything in there!! ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |
