What grease on brake seals?

I've ran out of rubber grease so i need an alternative quickly.

is silicon grease safe to use on brake seals?

Is it ok to use a little silicon grease between the pads and pistons to prevent squeal, instead of copper grease?

I read that it's good to put a bit on the pad retaining pins and caliper slide bolts to keep them free too.
