I currently have a 2 piece Furygan set of leathers, size 46. The problem I have had with these is that I am a bit of a fat git and they are tight on my shoulders, waist and belly and I am about an inch short for them... Laughing and therefore restrict my movement. The bigger size was huge on me.

So I have bought myself a one piece Takano TT suit, again size 46. It fits fantastic across my chest, shoulders, calfs and beer belly but are baggy around the groin and thight area. But the smaller 44 came no where near fitting my top half but fit my bottom half better... Confused

Just wondered if anyone else is a funny size like myself?

I dont think I would get a set to fit me perfect unless I had them tailor made, I have tried loads on lately, but not got tailor made money. Laughing

I had a 2 piece leather suit and couldn't move in it. it was the right size but the leather was really stiff and never really 'broke in'. Got to the point where it was uncomfortable to ride and all my movements were exaggerated just to get some movement going.

Upgraded to a reasonably cheap 1 piece suit and the difference is like night and day - so supple and esay to move it's like riding in the buff Embarassed . There is a little movement in the arse department but i think that helps when you're 'bent over' and in a riding position.

Oh, got a textile suit too but found that the legs were always riding up until they were half mast Rolling Eyes . Jacket goes great with my kevlar jeans tho' Laughing

£100 to get a one piece suit altered to fit.
Add to under £100 for a second hand suit from ebay and 'custom made' should be in most biker's reach.

I had similar problems when looking for leathers. Was originally looking at 2 piece but just couldnt get away with them. Just didnt 'feel' right. So started looking at one piece. Tried various suits on and had similar probems with being too tight around the upper arm/chest area yet baggy in the arse and legs. Found an almost perfect set of clover and a quite possibly perfect richa suit but both were way out of my price range. Settled for a one piece rsr which fit nicely, felt a little tight to begin with but i would defintley say they have stretched almost a size up in just a handful of rides. Wish i could have afforded the richa's tho Sad

Who would do this? A general tailor?

Dave the Leatherman in Bradford can alter and repair suits.

A small repair to my 1pc cost a fiver.

However, my AN 2pc which is on Ebay is miles too big in the trousers and tight on the jacket. To alter that would cost £150ish.

PM me if you want his mobile number or email address. He is fairly cheap and does excellent work.

Need a proper leathers-person. There's a good person near me, but too far away for you - you really want to get them to measure you up with the leathers in person.

Thanks for the advice guys. I also posted on a northwest forum and was given a link to a specialist shop only 5 miles from me. Here is the link for anyone else who wants it

https://www.joydaleathers.com/

They are taken a bit out the leg and shortening them, some out the arse crack area and some out the bottom of the back to lift the bum and tighten the groin area, all in for £116. Very Happy

The leathers are brand new and cost me £125 as they were old 06 stock. So not a bad price all together as they were originally priced at £399. So I have got myself a set of leathers tailored to measure for £169 cheaper than originally off the peg.

I get them back next saturday so will let you know how they are.
